OS X 10.7.3 Hardware Compatibility
Portable Computers
This is a hardware compatibility list for portable computers. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying a portable computer. Don't forget to add how you got OSx86 running on your portable x86 computer, and to use proper English. Please see the discussion page for proper instructions on how to input your system specs. Also, please contribute to the
page, which should list a more granular view of compatibility. If your computer isn't listed, you should try it if you have a SSE2 or higher processor. Use vanilla kernel if it is supported.
ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.
Please add hardware into tables.

Overall Install is quite easy.
For proper graphics use the dsdt.aml from an ASUS N73.
Only requires kexts for Wifi/BT, Audio and Touchpad.

This install was hard, since getting the HD3000 to work requires a modified smbios, modified intel driver kexts, edited DSDT, and more.
Also, installing it on MBR wasn't easy. Chameleon is now integrated in Windows 7 by using the wowpc installer, it helps to avoid the Boot0 error. Chameleon is installed on the Windows partition and not the mac one.
There are still a lot of steps to be made in the field of DSDT editing before it is fully functional with power management, sleep and audio.

Here is the files, and kexts used to install , the kext for wifi , and the touchpad kexts .

Hope to eventually get this model fully functioning in the future with some help of other owners of this model( expect for the nvidia optimus card which will probably never work).
Runs 10.6.8, 10.7, 10.7.1, 10.7.2, and 10.7.3.
Install Method: Set HDD mode to "Compatible" in the BIOS. Use the
method to create a bootable Lion install USB drive. Slipstream
into the installer's /S/L/E so that the hard drive is recognized. Boot to the USB drive and install Lion 10.7.0. Boot to the hard drive using the USB drive and update to 10.7.3. Do not reboot. Run MultiBeast, installing the kexts described below. Finally, install the latest Chimera and reboot (be patient).

If you have GraphicsEnabler you will get quartz enabled. However you will lose sleep/shutdown function. The PC display will shutdown and the hard drives but you will have to hold the power button in to turn the pc power off. Its annoying but nothing too bad and it wont damage your laptop because the hardware is already switched itself off.

Install Method: I used the iBoot + MultiBeast method to install Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then used xMove to install Lion. Use "PCIRootUID=1 -x" in iBoot when selecting osX boot drives.
Afterwards, I removed the default wireless card, the Intel 5100 AGN, and replaced it with the natively working Atheros AR5B93 card. The card broke functionality with 10.7.3 but I restored it with a Kext designed for Snow Leopard. Kext is linked below for the Atheros AR5BXX series. If your wireless isn't working, I suggest getting this card. It is easy to replace and is only around $10USD. Wireless, Battery, Ethernet, and Sound are the things that needed to be repaired with SL and Lion.

If your wireless isn't working, I suggest getting this card.
Also: You can use the Patriot Wireless LAN mini USB Adapter 150Mbps (PCUSBW1150). This is a much better alternative than trying to purchase the BCM94311 card. This adapter is SUPER SMALL and worked perfectly for me after installing the required software from the CD that comes with it.
