  在肯尼亚基贝拉贫民窟拍摄的一组照片让吴海辰荣获第118届多伦多国际摄影大赛一等奖,这是北美最大的年度国际摄影比赛首次向华人参赛者颁发大奖。作为一名因自然风光拍摄而小有名气的摄影师,吴海辰却因一组人文类的作品而获得大奖,这听起来有些匪夷所思。但在他看来,对非洲的热爱是“偶然”成全的“必然”。

  2011年,吴海辰为了拍摄风光照片第一次来到非洲,要离开赞比亚时因为突发洪水而被迫停留。在当地闲逛时,他产生了借此机会体验非洲原住民的想法,于是在非洲原始部落马赛村逗留了3天,其间还探访了内罗毕最大的贫民窟,在那里拍摄后来获奖的组照。在接受美媒采访时,吴海辰曾经表示,他从未刻意地去拍“人文”片,而是当自己只是一个刚好路过的拿着的旁观者,用照片来展示他看待这个世界的角度。
  由于志趣相投,吴海辰与另外7名华人摄影师成立了“四光圈”摄影组合,被业界普遍认为是海外华人摄影圈的大师水平的杰出代表。“四光圈”组合在全球各地拍摄作品的同时,还经常举办论坛、座谈会,围绕摄影艺术、海外华人摄影发展等话题,与其他华人摄影师促膝长谈,切磋技艺。作为交流活动的大力推动者,吴海辰希望为海外华人摄影师提供一个交流切磋的平台,通过资源分享培养出一批华人摄影大师。目前的国际摄影大赛中主要的奖项多为西方人获得,海外华人没有什么存在感。他的最大心愿是未来华人摄影师能够得到更多的奖项,华人摄影水平得到国际广泛认可。
  因为母亲是人像摄影师,吴海辰6岁就拍摄了第一张摄影图片,从此开始走上摄影道路。作为摄影师,每一次按下快门也许只是捕捉了一个眼神、一个表情,那也是他对美的理解。相信未来,吴海辰还会拍摄更多记录美的作品,成为摄影界的华人之光。(来源:纽约侨报网)
