2007年，参加由中国文联和中国电影家协会主办，中共文山州委、文山州人民政府协办，文山州民族歌舞剧团参演的“送欢乐、下基层、促和谐、树新风”的公益慰问演出，并朗诵诗歌。奚美娟作为的理事，一直资助着贫困地区的孩子；2007年，她资助的一名学生考进了复旦大学。
